Harrison, now known affectionately as Harry,
is owned and shown by Monique Kupfer, on the Gold
Coast.
Harry nearly lost his life as a 9 week old
baby, when a hidden tick injected so much poison into him in a short space of
time, that he was almost unable to breath.
Such a little puppy, for so much toxic venom…… After an emergency dash to the vet at break
neck speed, Monique’s vet found the tick, and treated Harry for tick poisoning,
and Harry recovered.
Poor Harry was then the brunt of much
ridicule on socialization days around the show ring – laughed at due to his
shaved coat. He was then kept at home
amongst sympathetic loved ones till he regrew enough
coat to avoid the jokes and amusement of owners of other breeds of dogs. (they didn’t know Harry had almost died…..).
We wish Monique and Harry every success in
the show ring. Mon also loves to dabble
with herding with her Belgians, so we look forward to Harry earning some
herding titles too.
