Mirribandi Belgians
Mirribandi History
The EARLY DAYS - A-F - 1990 - 1995
A
was for Archer - our first pet Groenendael, the late Ch Groendorf Eboni Tocsin, whelped March 1987. We found Archer via Mary Jefferson, Maraya Kennels, who put us in touch with Georgina Behrendorf. Georgie bred Archer and showed him to his Championship title and was looking for a special home for her boy to retire to. Archer was 3 when we first took him home, and was sadly put to sleep at 7 years with cancer.
B
is for Bonnie, our second pet, Beauschaie Perle Noire, whelped in December 1988. We went to the inaugural Belgian Shepherd Dog Club of Queensland Fun Day in September 1991 with our boy Archer, and came home with a second Groenendael - Bonnie. They were right - these Belgians ARE addictive!!!
C
is for Caddie - our first show girl, and our first Tervueren - Ch Bonquest I'm The Best. Caddie was born in the first ever Tervueren litter whelped in Queensland, in December 1991.
Late in 1992, Ch Belwarra Hy Performance "Shannon" come to stay for a while, followed by his son and sire of our first litter - Ch Weedram T The Mistral, "Khan" in 1993.
Ch Aisance Oceana "Sabre" was a resident for a while. We had fun showing Sabre through to her title.
D
is for Caddie’s first litter - the Mirribandi D litter in September 1993 – Delorean, Delaugere, Delahaye, Desoto, Delage, Daimler and Ch Du Pont.
E
is for Elle, Ch Domeir Twilight Whisper, a Groenendael girl we acquired as an adult and we had a lot of fun showing Elle too.
F
is for Elle’s first and only litter - the Mirribandi F litter in March 1995 – Ch Foreigner, Femme Fatale, Fire Storm, Finesse, Formula One, and Fugitive.
